The Pocono Mountain Chapter was founded in 1980 and has continued in the Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania area ever since. The Chapter is affiliated with the Metropolitan Region and the National Embroiderers' Guild of America. Our goal is the promotion of all types of embroidery and the enhancement and preservation of skill and technique in the field. We meet at Stroudsburg High School in the cafeteria every second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm except July and August. In July and August we meet at Hughes Memorial Library in Stroudsburg. We welcome visitors and new members.

The Pocono Mountain Chapter of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc. presents its 15TH BIENNIAL NEEDLEWORK EXHIBIT to be held at QUIET VALLEY LIVING HISTORICAL FARM in the Engel Education Building -- 1000 Turkey Hill Road, Stroudsburg, PA (3 miles south of Stroudsburg, off Business Route 209) -- Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, 2008 from 10 am to 5 pm. The exhibit is held in conjunction with the Quiet Valley’s Harvest Festival. Festival admission is $6.00.

Dues are currently $42/year and include access to all programs and meetings of the chapter, quarterly copies of "Needle Arts" from the Embroiderers' Guild of America, semiannual copies of METROPOLL, the newsletter of the Metropolitan Region, online or by mail, and quarterly copies of the Pocono Sampler.
